Job Description
Join the Hammond lab as a post-doc and spearhead a groundbreaking project that uncovers the secrets of membrane lipid signaling, amplifying our understanding of cellular physiology and disease. We have made recent groundbreaking discoveries regarding how the central regulatory lipid, PI(4,5)P2, regulates myriad aspects of cellular physiology at the plasma membrane. By investigating how this lipid is balanced and exploring its impact on cellular function, you will have the opportunity to unravel the mechanisms behind diseases ranging from cancer to dysentery. A current particular focus is on the lipid’s dynamics in metastatic breast cancer. As a key member of our team, you will pioneer research to identify the regulatory pathways that maintain lipid levels and explore the molecular landscape constraining its dynamics. This is expected to lead towards the development of innovative strategies for restoring lipid balance in disease. Visit hammondlab.com to explore more details of our research. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to make a profound impact on human health and advance scientific knowledge. The earliest start date is 7/1/2023, with flexibility based on your circumstances, such as the completion of your thesis work.
