The postdoctoral fellow will engage in research on the development and (pre-)clinical testing of optical diagnostic technologies using near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and diffuse correlation spectroscopy (DCS). They will work in a thriving research environment on clinically relevant topics in collaboration with investigators from the U of M’s College of Engineering and Medical School.

Who We Are

The mission of the University of Michigan (U of M) is to serve the people of Michigan and the world through preeminence in creating, communicating, preserving and applying knowledge, art and academic values, and in developing leaders and citizens who will challenge the present and enrich the future. The Department of Biomedical Engineering provides leadership in education, training and cutting-edge research by translating science and engineering to solve important challenges in medicine and life sciences to the benefit of humanity.

Research in the Biomedical Photonics Laboratory involves developing and applying methods of optical science and engineering to probe and quantify the living systems found in biology and medicine.
